West Virginia Standard Certificate of Death #1004 year 1918 states that Mrs. Ada Mefford, a widowed white female, aged 55, died Feb 27, 1918 (Note: the official record gives her birth date as the same as the birth date but the age given is 55!) in Mahan, Fayette Co., WV. She was born in Owen Co., KY to parents not known. Burial is in Ashland, Ky.

Ada Russell married William Breckinridge Mefford who was born in Owen Co., KY ( I do not know where he is buried at this time but WV has no death certificate for him on line though we do know he predeceased his wife)

Hamit's death cert gives his place of birth as Grayson (Carter Co.,) Ky. and he is also buried in the Ashland Cemetery, Ashland, Boyd Co., KY.
