Mrs. Martha Alderson, wife of Sampson Alderson, died yesterday at 10 o'clock at her home at Asbury, Greenbrier county, aged about 65 years. She had been a sufferer for about two years of cancer and her death was not unexpected.
Mrs. Alderson is survived by her husband, three sons and four daughters, viz: Attorney Charles M. Alderson, of Charleston; Granville Alderson, of Alderson; and the third son resides at Mansfield, Ohio. Two daughters live at Chicago and two at their home at Asbury.
Mrs. Alderson had been a lifelong member of the Baptist church. She was a lady of fine business ability and of the highest Christian character, being beloved by all who knew her.
Her maiden name was Miss Martha Hedrick and a sister of Mrs. Mason Jamison, of Alderson.
The funeral will be conducted tomorrow at 11 o'clock from her late home. Contributor: FG# 48825891.
