Samuel was a native of CT., married Mary Watrous 14 Oct 1779 Salisbury. Conn by J. Lee and died in Avon, Genesee County, New York, now in Livingston County per the writings of his grandson C.A. Donalds . He is in the 1790 census under Daniels (Southbury Litchfield, CT), 1800 under Daniels (Salisbury, Litchfield, CT) and 1820 census under Donalds(Caledonia, Genesee, New York) This is the last census I could find for Samuel. Died most likely in the late 1830s.Their are property deeds under his name in Oct 1833 in the book Landmarks of Orleans County, NY. along with his son David. Death date is from Leland-R-Watrous. Spellings found: Daniels, Donolds and Danols. Samuel and Mary have family in East Avon Cemetery and the cemetery records are not complete.
