Some have his last name spelled MackDaniel and McDaniels. I found what I believe to be John b abt 1748 and John Jr. b 1766 in the 1790, 1800, 1810 & 1820 John Jr only. John Jr. and Abby in 1840 & 1850. All census reports were from Groton, New London, CT. In the Probate Record File No. 332 dated January 21st 1764, at the Connecticut State Library for John Mackdaniel late of Groton, Deceased, John in the 16th year, Jonathan in the 15th year and Rebeckah in the 13 year. In 1821 a deed shows the sale of his estate property, which leads me to believe he died late 1819 or early 1820 because he is not in the 1820 census. According to records available their 1 child missing Benjamin who is in the 1820 census for Groten, age between 26 and 45 (1775-!794). In 3 deeds using Mc and Mack as middle names.
