Phillip E. Atencio Jr. returned to our Heavenly Father on August 1, 2015.
Phillip was born on December 12, 1961.
Phillip had a beautiful smile and a kind heart.
Phillip was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip E. Atencio Sr. and Teresa Newman, and his sister, Marie Atencio.
Phillip is survived by his beloved dog, Nitro, his sisters, Jeri (Sok) Sokolosky and Sharon (Morris) Carrillo, step-mother, Justine Atencio, step-siblings, Jane (Alfonso) Manzanares, and the rest of the Hall family, Harold, Mark, John (Nancy) and Weldon (Carla). Phillip is also survived by numerous nephews, nieces, cousins, friends and the Garcia Restaurant family.
Phillip was good to his step-mother and aunt and sister, Teresa Atencio.
Phillip retired from the City of Albuquerque after decades of service. Phillip left us too early and will be missed. As we bid farewell to Phillip we use his favorite saying, “Bueno Bye.”
Phillip's Life Celebration will begin with a Rosary on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 10:15 a.m. followed by a Communion Service at 11:00 a.m. both at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, 5415 Fortuna Rd. NW. Burial will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery following.
