Presho - Services for Ingeborg Ambur, 92, Presho, are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the American Lutheran Church of Presho with the Rev. Richard Steffen officiating.
Burial will be in the Presho Cemetery under direction of Hofmeister Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established to the Chamberlain Nursing Home.
Mrs. Ambur died Monday at the Chamberlain Hospital.
She was born July 17, 1889, at Rapid City, the daughter of Jorgen and Anna Boe. At the age of 11 she moved with her family to Lyman County. She attended school through seventh grade. The family operated the Hilmoe township post office.
She married Archie Ambur December 10, 1912. The couple homesteaded in Tripp County. In 1916 they returned to Hilmoe Township. In 1946 the couple retired and moved to Presho. She later moved to Sunset Valley Haven at Chamberlain.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Ernest (Fern) West of Encino, CA, and Mrs. Harold (Blanche) Archer of Presho; three sons, Woodrow of Los Angeles, CA, and Lawrence and Arvid of Presho; 15 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1970, an infant daughter and seven brothers.
