Reba May Sherman, 92, of Columbia, PA passed away in Lancaster on Tuesday, July 28, 2015. She will be deeply missed by all as she was an exceptionally giving and kind person. Reba was born in Lancaster, the daughter of the late Horace and Gertrude (McRey) Price. Her husband, Ramon T. Sherman, passed away in 1992. Reba was a member of Zion Church of Millersville for many years and enjoyed singing in the choir. She also enjoyed playing music, painting, gardening, and all animals.
Surviving are her children, Sandra Shenk and Michael Sherman, and Robert Polito (whom she loved like a son); grandchildren, Lisa Polito, Lori Polito, Robert Polito Jr., (all of whom she raised) William Polito, Lynne Polito, Brian Sherman, and Kevin Sherman. Also surviving are 19 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, a niece, and her dog Gizzy. She was preceded in death by her brother Arthur Price.
Friends are invited to her graveside service Monday, August 3, 2015 at 2 PM at Millersville Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Reba's name may be made to the Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Highway East, Lancaster, PA 17602.
