Arthur "Art" Price, 72, a retired employee of the Intelligencer Printing Co., died Thursday at Lancaster General Hospital after a brief illness. Prices resided at 1444 Hollywood Drive. He and his wife, K. Lavada Fletter Price, observed their 50th wedding anniversary on July 3. Price joined Intell Printing in 1967 after 34 years of employment at the Keystone Bag and Burlap Co. He was employed in the shipping department and made daily deliveries to local firms. Since retiring in March 1981, he had been employed part time by Brenneman Printing Inc. A lifelong resident of Lancaster, Price attended Manheim Township Schools. An avid bowler, he competed in a mixed league at Leisure Lanes of Lancaster Inc. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Horace and Gertrude Price. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Donna L., wife of Peter J. Savage Jr., Lancaster; a grandson; and a sister, Reba, wife of Ramon Sherman, Lancaster. (Lancaster New Era - June 10, 1988)
