In 1940 she and her husband and their two sons lived in a place they were renting for $30 a month in Central Bridge, NY. Roy worked as an automobile parts manager in a garage and in 1939 had an income of $1000 for 52 weeks of work.

In 1950 she and Roy and their four children lived in a house at 18 Pine Street in Bath, NY. He worked as a general manager of auto sales in the auto industry.
