Franklin Delano Reynolds, age 74, beloved brother of James Harold Reynolds (Ruby), of Dickson,and Arthur Sevier Reynolds, of Burns, TN passed away Wednesday, July 29, 2015 at Veteran's Hospital, Nashville. By his side were his brothers and his devoted niece, Sara Reynolds. Sara rarely left his bedside during his past three weeks of hospitalization.
Interment, with military honors in the Reynolds Family Cemetery on Wolf Branch Rd. in Vanleer. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.

Born in Dickson County on September 2, 1940, Franklin was the youngest son of the late Arthur Chester and Susie Clark Reynolds. He was of the Primitive Baptist faith. Franklin enlisted in the U. S. Army on April 12, 1962 and was home on leave from Ft. Sill, OK when he was first hospitalized in 1963. He was medically discharged from military service but continued to suffer disabilities until his permanent hospitalization in the Veterans Hospital in Murfreesboro where he has resided for nearly 50 years. His constant companion was a transistor radio. He also loved to hear a guitar being played and the singing that usually accompanied it.
He was predeceased by eight brothers, Elgie, Garfield, Herman, Clifton, Clark, Robert John ("R.J."), Samuel David ("S.D."), and Paul; and his two sisters, Lucille Underhill and Lilia Reynolds. Survivors, in addition to his two brothers, include a host of loving nieces and nephews and his many caregivers, past and present at Veterans Hospital.
