Melvin E. (Gene) Page, age 80, passed away peacefully Thursday, July 23, 2015 at Tennova Residential Hospice.
He was preceded in death by parents, Roy and Viola Page; and sister, Virginia Bounds. He was an active member of Old Beverly Baptist Church. Survived by wife, Sandra Page; step-daughter, Melody Bunch and husband, Kyle; step-son, Scott Blair and wife, Shellie; five step-grandchildren, and four step great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews; brother-in-law, Jason Bounds.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m., Friday at Old Beverly Baptist Church, with the memorial service to follow with Rev. Mike Hurst officiating. The interment will be Saturday, August 1, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. in Lynnhurst Cemetery, with military honors. Special thanks to hospice nurses and staff at Tennova Residential Hospice.
