Ephraim married Emeline Skinner on 7/19/1866. They had 11 children. Ephraim served in the Civil War. From the Obituary published in the Punxsutawney Spirit on 11/16/1911 - DEATH CLAIMS AN OLD AND RESPECTED CITIZEN
The deceased was a son of Richard Adams, one of the first settlers of Armstrong County, having moved there from Connecticut. Later the family moved to Porter Twp, Jefferson County, and it was there that the deceased grew to manhood.
