Daughter of James Steen and Maggie Lee Campbell. She was a member of Clear Creek Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed fishing, reading, working in her flower gardens and visiting with family and friends. She is survived by her husband of Oxford, MS; her two daughters; five sons; thirty-eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three daughters, Linda Carol Campbell, Rebecca Hervey and Queen Esther Hervey; two sons, Tyrone Hervey and Theron Campbell.
Visitation was held from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2014 at Seven Oaks Funeral Home in Water Valley, MS. Funeral services followed the visitation at 2:00 pm on Friday at Seven Oaks Funeral Home with Rev. Golladay officiating. Burial is in the Oak Ridge Cemetery in Water Valley, MS. Her sons and sons-in-law served as pallbearers.
