Emma Loree Egbert Wyatt, age 78, of Rexburg, died Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at her home.
She was born December 8, 1936 in Pocatello, Idaho, to Joseph Robert Egbert and Anna Marie Blaser Egbert. She grew up in Pocatello, graduating from Pocatello High School in 1955 where she took accounting and bookkeeping classes.
She then became a bookkeeper at a department store in Pocatello and then at a Farmer's Insurance agency and she worked as a newspaper switchboard operator.
She married Earl Reed "J" Wyatt on March 8, 1956 in the Idaho Falls LDS temple. He died July 23, 2015. They lived in Logan, Utah where she worked at Thiokol as a secretary and payroll clerk. They moved to Michigan for two years and then spent 13 years in Scottsdale and Mesa, Arizona. In Mesa, she worked for Motorola as a "capper" and then at the John Hancock Academy as a secretary. They moved to Rexburg in 1973 and she worked at Ricks College in student life/housing, in the missionary training center and at the book store. She also worked at Rexburg Floral for 28 years and then retired.
Loree was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many church callings. She was a service missionary at the LDS Distribution Store and then continued working at Deseret Book in the shipping department until her death.
She enjoyed amusement parks, fast rides, puzzles, movies, card games, reading, family activities, flying and traveling.
She is survived by her children: Terry (Suzanne) Wyatt, of Garland, UT, Tracy (Jeff) Wynn, of Rexburg, Jan Drake, of Caldwell, and Jackie (Blair) Oram, of Emmett; 14 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren; and her siblings: Carl (LaRae) Egbert, of Pocatello, Carwin (Cyrena) Egbert, of Chubbuck, Jack (Eddie) Taylor, of Nampa, Jack (Lenice) Egbert, of Chubbuck, Roberta (Larry) Larsen, of Rupert, and Jay (Leilani) Egbert, of Idaho Falls.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Reed "J" Wyatt; daughter, Jodi Wyatt; her parents; and a brother, George Egbert.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2015 at the Rexburg Center Stake Chapel (590 Summerwood Drive) with Bishop Kory Lofthouse officiating. Friends may call Friday from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Flamm Funeral Home and Saturday at the church from 10:00 to 10:45 a.m. prior to services. Interment will be in the Rexburg Cemetery.
