CHARLES EDWARD JONES
(1923-2001)

Mansfield - Charles Edward Jones, 78, of 1084 Pawnee Ave. died Friday morning, July 13, 2001, at Crestwood Care Center after a long illness.

Mr. Jones was born May 27, 1923, in Vanceburg, Kentucky, residing in the Mansfield area since 1967. He retired as a truck drive an was a member of Springmill Church of God. Charles enjoyed blue grass music, playing the guitar and camping.

Surviving are his wife, Mildred Oleda Jones of Shelby; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Jim Caudill of Manfield, Carolyn and Duke Willis of Garrison, Ky., and Sherri Hollingworth of Wellington; son and daughter-in-law, Charles A. and Rebecca Jones of Mansfield; 13 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren; brother, Clarence Jones of Vanceburg, Ky.; and a number of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Clarence and Lula Richey Jones; two brothers and two sisters.

Friends may call at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors on Sunday, July 15, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 16, at 2 p.m. at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Ky., conducted by the Rev. Bruce Philippi. Burial will be in Lewis County Memorial Gardens in Vanceburg.
