Ole Waldemar Reyerson, age 86, passed away on July 27, 2015 surrounded by his loved ones. Ole was born June 2, 1929, in Northwood Iowa, to Oliver and Laura Reyerson, the youngest of 5 children. Ole attended High School in Northwood where he was a varsity basketball and football player and graduated in 1948.

Ole enlisted into the Marine Corps on Aug 14, 1948 and was stationed at the US Naval Supply Depot in Clearfield, UT were he met, and in 1951 married his wife of 51 yrs, Ann Rigby Reyerson. Ole served as an active duty Corps men for 4 years, and a Marine Corps Reservist for 6 years. Ole began working for Boeing Co. in 1958, and then later worked on Hill Air Force Base, until retiring in 1993. Ole also worked part-time for several years at Olsen Chevrolet Co. and Chucks Auto Restoration, restoring cars.

Ole was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints and served in a number of callings, including Second Counselor and First Counselor in the ward bishopric.

Ole’s greatest legacy was his kindness, and gentle soul combined with the strength and integrity of a Marine. He never said an unkind word about anyone and always worked hard to serve others. Ole believed in the importance of being a good community leader and serving his community. He was proud to serve his community by running the annual 4th of July boy scout breakfast for 10 years as well as being a member in the Layton JC’s.

Ole was preceded in death by his wife Ann, his parents, Oliver and Laura, sister June Nelson, and brothers Clifford and Richard Reyerson.

He is survived by his daughter, Laura Ann Pattillo: grandchildren, Sunny (Brian) Ginter, Jace Ole Pattillo, great grandchild, Nevaeh, step grandchildren Troy and Trevor Pattilllo and foster daughter, Elizabeth Stally and her children Tonna, Tara, Tierney, Justin, 5 great grandchildren, and his sister, Grace Dahlby.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, July 31, 2015 at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 N. Fairfield Rd. Friends may visit family on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Friday from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Farmington City Cemetery.
