DOROTHY J MATTESON of Melbourne, FL died at Holmes Medical Center. Dottie graduated Smith College and had a career in education teaching in CT, MA and Alaska. Surviving are her husband, Thomas; daughter, Juliet Mignone; son; Jeffrey and sister, Nancy Ballard. A service of remembrance will be held at Suntree United Methodist Church on July 31, 2015. Her ashes will be inurned at a later date in the Columbarium at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy. Brownlie-Maxwell Funeral Home in Melbourne is serving the family.
