Juanita June (Thorlakson) Conrad, 79, of North Zulch, TX, known to her friends and family as “Miss June”; passed away on Friday; July 24, 2015 in Bryan, TX. Funeral services are scheduled for Wednesday, July 29th at 10AM at The First Baptist Church of North Zulch with Bro. Mitch Harper officiating. The visitation is scheduled from 9-10AM prior to the service. The burial will follow at Kurten Cemetery. Miss June was born on July 1, 1936 in Bellingham, WA to Ross and Gertrude (Klander) Thorlakson and worked for many years for The Harris County Hospital District before retiring to North Zulch where she was a long time member of The First Baptist Church. Miss June was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Charles Ross McWhorter; and her brother, Don Thorlakson. She is survived by her husband, Ervin (E.W.) Conrad; her son Jeff McWhorter and his wife Marilyn; her step-sons, Kenny Conrad and his wife Susan and Will Conrad and his wife Stella; her grandchildren, Cody McWhorter and his wife Nicole, Justin McWhorter and his wife Elaine, Kristyn Vest and her husband Keith, Sarah Conrad, Wesley Conrad, and Jacob Conrad; and her great grandchildren, Emmalyn McWhorter, Kate McWhorter, Kenzie Vest, and June McWhorter. Serving as pallbearers are: Donald Carey, Matthew Petri, Mitchell Beasley, Donnie Langley, Ricky Blum, Bubba Bishop, Rex Beasley, and Bud Bishop.
