Funeral services for Edwin W. Seybold, 71, of R. 1, Hilbert, a prominent Calumet County dairy farmer who died Saturday, July 12, at Theda Clark Memorial Hospital, Neenah, were held Tuesday. The Rev. Frank Wolf, pastor, officiated at Zion United Methodist Church, Forest Junction. Burial was in Highland Memorial Park, Appleton.

Mr. Seybold was born Jan. 28, 1898 in the town of Brillion, a son of the late John and Lydia Kloehn Seybold, and married the former Agnes Egan on Dec. 22, 1933 at Chicago, Ill.

The couple farmed their entire married lives on the Seybold homestead in the town of Brillion.

Mr. Seybold was president of the School Grove Dairy Co-op, president and past director of the Calumet County Holstein Breeders Association, a director of the Forest Junction Equity Association and a director of the Forest Junction State Bank.

He was also the first progressive dairy breeder in Calumet County and a past administrator of the Farm and Home Administration.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Harold (Dorothy) Wenzel of R. 2, Brillion, and Mrs. Gerald (Peggy) Hensler of Neenah; one son, Edwin J., of Milwaukee; six grandchildren; six sisters, Mrs. John Trautman of Appleton, Mrs. Milan Rehm of Indianapolis, Ind., Miss Leah Seybold of Kenosha, Mrs. Herman Schreiber of Sheboygan, Mrs. Herbert Pickens of Laguana Beach, Calif., and Mrs. Charles Anderson of Merrill, and one brother, Dr. John Seybold of Madison. One brother and one grandson preceded him in death.
