Edith E. Ferris, 88, died at 6:45 a.m. Sunday at Gibson Community Hospital, where she had been a patient 23 months.
Mrs. Ferris was born, Feb. 11, 1877, at Tonica, a daughter of Harry and Emelia Barton Ashley.
Her only survivors are two nephews, Clyde Ashley and Francis Ashley; and a niece, Mrs. Cora Glascock. A brother preceded her in death.
Mrs. Ferris moved, from Sibley to Gibson City, 61 years ago.
