She is survived by her son, Danny Ray Hilton; two brothers, David Marshall of Moody and J. D. Marshall of Waco; five nieces and nephews and five great-nieces and great-nephews.
She is also survived by her best friend of 30 years who loved her like a sister, Nadine Cook, and her three children who looked to D'Esta like a second mother. She will be greatly missed by many loving friends.
D'Esta, known lovingly as "Dee", spent 23 years of her life working at American Income Life Insurance as an Underwriter. Many wonderful friendships began at American Income that would surround her with love for the rest of her life. She will always be remembered with great love as a caring and loving lady who was always there to help in any way she could. She always had a big soft spot for children and went out of her way to make sure the children in her family (and extended family) had toys and clothes.
The last several years of her life many health problems plagued Dee but she would never let that diminish the warm smile and compassion she carried for her friends and family.
At Dee's request there will be no funeral or memorial services. Memorial donations can be made in Dee's name to the Lupus Foundation, or the American Heart Association.
Let us celebrate Dee's life and all the love she gave to those she loved. She will be greatly missed but never forgotten for the difference she made in all our lives.
