George F. Brock, who died in San Rafael, Thursday, January 22nd, at the residence of his Aunt, Mrs. M.A. Crocker, was born in Grant Co WI, February 20, 1848. He died of consumption, contracted by exposure, in Aurora, NV. He was a fearless, upright, and genial man. He leaves a mother in Wisconsin, a brother, Capt. G.H. Brock, in San Francisco, and a sister in Aurora, NV. His funeral, which was largely attended, was conducted by Marin Lodge #200, I.O.O.F., of which order he was an honored member, and he was buried in the plot of the above lodge.
