FRANCES ARMSTRONG
(1918-1994)
Frances Marian Combs Armstrong, 75, of Collingswood Avenue, Wheelersburg, a former Quincy (Ky.) resident, died Monday, June 13, 1994, at home after a long illness.
Born Oct. 28, 1918, in Firebrick, Ky., a daughter of the late Sherman Combs and Margaret Ratliff Combs, she was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Wheelersburg.
Preceded in death by her husband, Charles Gordon Armstrong, Dec. 2, 1993, she is survived by three sons, Roger Armstrong of Wheelersburg, Denver Armstrong of Wurtland, Ky., and Fredrick Armstrong of Quincy, Ky.; a daughter, Sandra Bivens of Vanceburg, Ky.; two brothers, Donald Combsw of Crescent City, Fla., and Karl Combs of Royal Palm Beach Village, Fla.; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by a sister, Shirley Combs; and three brothers, Fredrick, James Paul and Robert Combs.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Dickerson Funeral Home in Vanceburg, with the Rev. Brad Martin officiating, and interment in Lewis County (Ky.) Memory Gardens. Friends may call at the funeral home from 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday and from 8 a.m. until the services Wednesday.
