Funeral services for James Ronald ("Jim") Foster, 48, of Edina will be held at two o'clock Thursday afternoon (October 25, 1984) in Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel, Edina. The Rev. David Howald of Edina will conduct services. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery at Macon.

Mr. Foster died at 12:12 Monday morning (October 22, 1984) in Grim-Smith Hospital where he had been a patient only a short time.

Born December 8, 1935, at Macon, he was a son of James Howard and Lillian Mae Boyed Foster. On September 3, 1959, at La Plata, he married Sadie Maxine Conley who survives. Also surviving are his mother, two sons, two daughters, three sisters and one granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by his father and one son, James Richard Foster.

Mr. Foster spent his earlier years in Macon County and had been a resident of La Plata for seven years. For the past eight years he made his home in Edina. Mr. Foster was a track foreman with the Santa Fe Railroad.

From July 1955 until February 1964 Mr. Foster served with the United States Air Force.

He was a member of the Macon Baptist Church.
