"William "Bill" John Beltman was born on July 4, 1931 in Doon, Iowa. He was the son of Gerrit and Tillie (Evink) Beltman. He lived his youth in Doon until moving to Sanborn, Iowa and later Granville, Iowa. He attended school in Sanborn.
"He was united in marriage to Katherine "Kay" Van Leeuwen of Newkirk, Iowa on December 27, 1951 at the Christian Reformed Church in Hospers, Iowa. They lived with Kay's brother for the first year and then moved to the Beltman Family Farm, where they farmed. In 1991, they moved into Hospers. Bill worked for Woudstra Packing for several years and in 2009, they moved to Fieldcrest in Sheldon.
"Kay passed away on June 12, 2012. In 2014, Bill moved to the Good Samaritan Home in George, Iowa and later that year to Prairie Ridge in Orange City, Iowa."
Survivors include four children and/or their partners; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters.
