Professional Chess Player. Born in Vienna, he was called "The Master of Attack" and "The Last Knight of the King´s Gambit". He was one of the few to win more than one game against legendary player Capablanca, and was the author of the classic book "The Art of Sacrifice in Chess". In all he won 33 international tournaments. A Jew, Spielmann moved to Sweden in 1938 to escape Nazi persecution, and died destitute in Stockholm.
