He was the son of Abraham Fiset and Catherine Labrecque. He was an emigrant ancestor and carpenter. In 1666 he installed in the east of the current church of the Angel-Guard, on a ground of 3 arpents face on the river. He built his hut there to make his clearing and remained all his life there.

Le Monument aux Colons in L'Ange-Gardien, Quebec commemorates the colonists who first settled L'Ange-Gardien. One of them was Francois-Abraham Fiset.
