MRS. A. C. DICKINSON DIES

Mother of Mayor of Waitsburg Crossed Plains in 1865.

WAITSBURG, Wash., Aug. 4. --Mrs. A. C. Dickinson, age 85, mother of A. S. Dickinson Mayor of Waitsburg, died at her home Monday evening. Mrs. Dickinson was born near Columbus, Ind., and married Abraham C. Dickinson, on February 2, 1854.

They crossed the plains with an ox team in 1865 and settled on a homestead 41/2 miles south of here. In 1881 they moved to Waitsburg where Mr. Dickinson died on October 13, 1911.

Five children survive; Mrs. Mary Mills, Mrs. Ella Crain, Mrs. Cora Keiser, Mrs. Lyda Conover, and Albert S. Dickinson. The funeral will be held Wednesday afternoon at the Christian church, with the Rev. Mr. Van Slyke officiating.
