DODD CITY
Funeral services are scheduled for Ruth Herriage, age 87 of Dodd City, who died Wednesday, Aug. 19, 1992 at Bonham Nursing Center, for 3 p.m. Saturday at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel in Bonham. The Rev. Bill Brown and the Rev. Mrs. Martha Myre will officiate with burial in the Dodd City Cemetery.
Mrs. Herriage was born on Sept. 14, 1904 in Dodd City, the daughter of W. H. Dunn and Lula Adair Dunn.
She married Clarence Herriage on May 5, 1923 in the Hail Community. He preceded her in death on Oct. 19, 1963.
Mrs. Herriage was a homemaker and a member of the Dodd City Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Gene and Jan Herriage and Pat and Joyce Herriage, both of Levelland; daughter and son-in-law, Laverne and Oscar Horton of Dodd City; daughter-in-law, Winnie Herriage of Odessa; sister-in-law, Sadie Richardson of Gober; 16 grandchildren and 29 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
A son, Lodas Herriage and a daughter, Marcell Herriage, preceded her in death.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends tonight from 7 until 8 p.m. at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home in Bonham.
