ADA -- Services for Mildred Blackwell, 83, will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Billy Bundy and the Rev. Robert Ware officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Criswell Funeral Home.

Born Dec. 19, 1922 at Egypt, west of Ada, to Elmer Preston and Blanche Irving Aaron Willis, she died July 14, 2006 at an Ada hospital. She married Wilburn T. Blackwell June 8, 1943. He preceded her in death July 1, 2002.

She attended school at Vanoss, McLish and graduated from Stonewall. She lived in the area most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of First Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Anita Blackwell Robertson and her husband, Al, Stonewall; three sons, James Blackwell and his wife, Charlotte, Ardmore, Ron Blackwell, Oklahoma City, and Dan Blackwell, Oklahoma City; sister, Veetrice Tingle, Clovis, Calif.; sister-in-law, Mildred Powers, Holiday, Fla.; nine grandchildren, Alisa Miller, Tulsa, Aaron Robertson, Broken Arrow, Jamie Aldridge, Lone Grove, Karie Conway, Lone Grove, Skylor Blackwell, Oklahoma City, Starla Blackwell, Stillwater, Jett Blackwell, MacDill Air Force Base, Tampa, Fla., Melanie Nortan, Norman, and Jeff Dooley, Tulsa; and three great-grandsons, Maxwell Miller, Tulsa, James Dillon Aldridge, Lone Grove and Cody James Conway, Lone Grove.
