"Frank H 'Bud' Henton, 69, formerly of Union City, died at 8:50 pm Monday, July 18, 1988, in the Corry Manor. He was a patient there since Sept 1, 1986. Mr Henton was born in Rome Township, Crawford County, Nov 3, 1918, a son of the late Paul M and Gladys Reagle Henton. He was married to the former Sussie (sic) [Susie] Range on March 19, 1938, at Centerville. Mrs Henton died Nov 7, 1961. Mr Henton was employed by the James Paul Lumber Company as a logger for 10 years. He was later employed by the Blakeslee Lumber and the Union City Chair Company. He had been retired for the past six years. He was a life member of the Union City VFW. Mr Henton is survived by the following children: Elwin Henton and Mrs Jack (Linda) Cramer, both of Bradford; Lawrence Henton of Cranberry; James Henton of Erie; Charles Henton and Mrs Anthony (Marilyn) Mara, both of Portville, NY; Tommy Ray Leffler of Eldred; Mrs Kenneth (Betty) Doctor of Cambridge Springs; Mrs Frank (Helen Wright) McCalmont of Titusville; Mrs Donald (Margaret) Dean of Burdett, NY; Mrs John (Hazel) Nunemaker of Riceville; Mrs Ronald (Mary) Nunemaker of Wattsburg; Mrs Kenneth (Susan) Johnson of Union City; Lydia Henton of Palm Bay, Fla. Also surviving are 48 grandchildren; 55 great-grandchildren; and 14 step-grandchildren; a sister, Mrs Archie (Pauline) Lamb of Duke Center; a brother, Pete Henton of Bradford; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by two sons, Paul J Henton and Frank W Henton; three brothers, Eugene Henton, Paul Henton and Robert Henton; three sisters, Miss Ellen Henton, Mrs James (June) Leffler and Mrs Clifford (Hazel) Schwab. Friends may call at the Gordon B Garrett Funeral Home...and attend the funeral service there on Thursday at 2 pm with Rev Julius Pavkov, pastor of the Wilkins United Methodist Church, officiating. Interment will be in the Covenanter Cemetery in Rome Township."
