Helen N. Gross, 88 years of Oswego, IL., died Tuesday, September 25, 2001 at Provena Geneva Care Center in Geneva, IL. She was born December 9, 1912 in Chicago, IL, the daughter of the late Leo and Mary nee Carney Newhouse.
She was a graduate of Mundelein College and DePaul University Law School, both in Chicago, IL. She was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church in Oswego, IL. and thg IL. State Bar Association.
She is survived by a daughter, Eileen Gross of Kent, OH; a son, Nicholas (Gail) Gross of Oswego, IL; three grandchildren, Julia (Roger) Nattkemper, Marjorie Gross, Dorothy (Jason) Ramey; a great-granddaughter, Adria Ramey; and a brother, Joseph J. (Edyth) Newhouse of Colorado Springs, CO. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Anthony Gross.
A Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, October 6, 2001 at 10:00 AM at St. Anne Catholic Church (Joachim Center) in Oswego, IL., with Rev. Dan Stempora celebrant. Cremation was accorded the wishes of the family at River Hills Memorial Park in Batavia, IL.
