Dennis Frederick Almack was born December 23, 1889 in Iola, Allen, Kansas; one of ten children born to the farm family of Delano Joseph Almack and Harreitt Lea (Setzer) Almack. Joseph and Harriett moved their family to Indian Territory around 1900 to what is now the Tonkawa, Kay County area. Dennis served in the United States Army 1917-1919 during World War I. He married Juanita McBride on March 29, 1925. They were blessed with one son. In 1935 Dennis was appointed Post Master of Moore, Oklahoma. He served in that position for 59 years until age 70 when he was required to retire. He shared 66 years of marriage with Juanita until her passing in 1991.
Dennis Frederick Almack was inducted into the OKLAHOMA CENTENARIAN HALL OF FAME having reached the age of 100 years. He lived 104 years and six months.
