Delmar N. "Neil" Austin, 75 of Monticello, passed away Wednesday, July 15, 2015, at his residence surrounded by his family.
He was born on Wednesday, November 29, 1939, in Chalmers, Indiana to the late Delmar L. and Florence (Harris) Austin.
Neil had lived in the Monticello area for the last thirteen years, coming from Chalmers, Indiana.
Neil married Donna Marie Haley at her parents' home in Battle Ground, Indiana on Friday, May 29, 1959, she survives.
He was born and raised in Chalmers, Indiana and attended the Frontier High School.
Neil enjoyed and loved woodworking when he was able.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Monticello.
Surviving are his wife; daughter, Kellie (Jeff) Winstead; son, Bradley (Lori) Austin; grandchildren, Lindsey (Rich) Edmondson, Lacie (Josh) Burnside, Tyler Austin, Josh (companion Cori) Austin, Jordan and Jace Austin, Jeremy Stinson; Great Grandchildren, Lillyan and Sydnie Edmondson, Travin Austin, Quinton Austin, Alexander Burnside, and Carson Stinson; sister, Marlene Bauer; his dog, Molly.
Neil was preceded in death by his parents; son, Kevin Austin; Grandson Cassidy Griffith; brothers, Glenn and James "Jim" Austin; Dogs, Coco and Barkley.
Visitation will be from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, July 19, 2015, at the Miller - Roscka Funeral of Monticello, Indiana and 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 20, 2015 at the First Baptist Church of Monticello, Indiana. Celebration of Life Service will be at the church at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Ryan Bailey of the First Baptist Church of Monticello officiating.
Burial will be at Chalmers Cemetery following the services at the church.
