Robert “Bob” Stedman was born to Kenneth and Edna “Albrecht” Stedman on July 19, 1948 in Waterloo, Iowa. He graduated from Waterloo East High School in 1967. After high school he joined the Navy.
Bob married Susan Dahms in 1968. He worked for Aspro Inc. as a truck driver for 25 years. Bob married Linda Slaughter March 25, 2006.
He enjoyed camaraderie with his buddies, helping others, Iowa Hawkeye Football and especially spending time with his family. Bob was an amazing husband, father, grandfather and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Bob passed away suddenly on Tuesday July, 14, 2015.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother: Kenneth Stedman Jr.; and former wife, Susan Dahms Stedman.
Bob is survived by his wife; his son: Stewart “Jennifer” Stedman of Cedar Falls; 2 daughters: Rachel “Tim” Niedert of Dysart, and Stephanie “Linn” Dickson of Cavour, SD; a stepdaughter: Sara Holloway of Waterloo; 4 grandchildren: Danielle “Alex” Pascoe, Markie Alie Stedman, Hailey Stedman, and Lauren Dickson; 3 great grandchildren: Emmett, Jaxen and Owen Pascoe; and 5 sisters: Sandra “Bill” Vogel, Annette “Jack” Todden, Linda “Arlan” Schellhorn, Judy “Freddie” Nissius, Sheryl “Tim” Rosauer; and a sister-in-law: Sue Stedman.
