78-YEAR-OLD WOMAN FOUND DEAD IN BED
Mrs Mary Rickey Of Butler Township Who Had Been Ill Since Last Sunday Passes Away Suddenly At Home
Mrs MARY RICKEY, 78, was found dead in bed at her home in Butler Township seven miles southwest of Auburn Thursday morning. Mrs Rickey had been ill since last Sunday. Her grandson Ward Rickey resided with her and he reports that she was all right at 3 am Thursday but was dead at 7 o'clock.
The body was removed to the Zimmerman Funeral Home in Garrett and will be returned to the residence Friday evening. Last rites will be held at Cedar Chapel in Butler Township Sunday at 2 pm. The Rev John Hand will officiate and burial will be made in the church cemetery.
Mrs Rickey was born May 3, 1870 four miles east of Auburn a daughter of Frederick and Johanna Krueger.
She was married to Marion S Rickey, and he died in 1931.
Her five children are all dead, and the only survivors are nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Mrs Rickey was a member of the Cedar Chapel congregation and was a charter member of the Ladies Aid Society.
