25 May 2003: Charles M. Binkley, 76, Grantville, died Saturday, May 24, 2003, in Polyclinic Medical Center, Harrisburg. He was the husband of Mary B. Rhoads Binkley. Born April 17, 1927, in Union Township, he was a son of the late Robert and Jennie Boltz Binkley. He retired in 1992 from Northern Lebanon High School, where he worked as head custodian for 22 years. Surviving, besides his wife, are son Sterling R. Hupp of Grantville. daughter Betsy Morningwake, wife of Richard Sr. of Jonestown; two brothers, Clyde Binkley of Enola and Kenneth Binkley of Newport; three sisters, Earlene Hepler, Earla Keefer and Earnestine Ney, all of Jonestown; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by brothers Clifford, Lloyd and Kermit Binkley. Funeral Thursday at Strauss-Kreamer & Lum Funeral Home, Jonestown. Burial in Pleasant Hill Chapel Cemetery.
