Death of Mrs. McDonald
A message was received this afternoon from Mrs. Anna Cowgill at Carthage, Missouri, telling of the death of her mother, Mrs. W.R. McDonald, a former resident of this city who passed away this morning. Mrs. McDonald is one of the widely known residents of Winfield and since the death of her husband three years ago has made her home with her daughter, in Carthage.
She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Frank Robinson, formerly of this city, but now of Seattle, Washington; Mrs. Alice Mendenhall of Chicago, Illinois; Mrs. Anna Cowgill of Carthage, Mo., two sons, Herman McDonald of Chicago and Milton Walton, by a former marriage; who lives in Kentucky, Mrs. Robert Harter of this city is a grand-daughter.
The body will be brought to Winfield next Monday morning for burial in Union cemetery, beside her husband. Funeral services will be held at ten o'clock from the First Methodist church in charge of the pastor, Rev. G.A. Chappell.
