Patricia Lloyd Deisenroth

Pat was born December 21, 1926 in Evanston, Illinois.

The majority of her adolescent years were spent in Ponca City, Oklahoma were she graduated from Ponca City High School and was selected Princess Po-Hi by the student body. Following graduation, she attended the University of Oklahoma and Lindenwood College in St. Charles, Missouri. Pat met Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr. at a party in Ponca City and they were later married on February 4, 1950.

While a wife and mother of four, Pat returned to education and received both an undergraduate degree and a Masters degree from the University of Tulsa in speech pathology. She then opened a private practice providing speech pathology services to individuals in both Tulsa and Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Her practice remained active into her 80’s.

Pat had a strong dedication to serving others as demonstrated by her participation in the Junior League of Tulsa, St. John’s Episcopal Church and various Tulsa charities, most prominent of them being St. Simeon’s Home in Tulsa. Malcolm and Pat devoted both time, resources and support to this institution and its staff, employees and residents.

Pat’s true calling in life and greatest passion was her devotion to family and friends. Many a conversation would begin with her asking “What can I do for you today?” The same conversations would frequently end with the refrain, “Please call me if you need anything.” This devotion and dedication to caring for her loved ones was present to the last moments of her life.

Her children, grandchildren and those whom she adopted as family will always cherish the love, kindness, patience and generous spirit that she bestowed upon them all.

Pat is survived by her husband, Malcolm Deisenroth, Jr., daughter Mary Deisenroth, son Craig Deisenroth and his wife Tammy and children Lauren and Grant, son Oakley Deisenroth, granddaughter Angela Cramer, grandson Mike Fegley, niece Ann Root, nephew Mark Lloyd and his wife Kaaren, and long time friend Jan Dreiling.

Predeceasing Pat were her parents, Oakley and Kathryn Lloyd, aunt Lillian Forsythe, brother Bill Lloyd and daughter, Kathy Smith.

Funeral services will be held Friday, July 17, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at St. John’s Episcopal Church in Tulsa.

Donations and memorial gifts may be made to St. Simeon’s Home of Tulsa, Oklahoma.
