Mrs. Ward was born on January 2, 1936 in Florence County, a daughter of the late Walter James Jones and Marie Barrineau Jones. Mrs. Willa was a homemaker and a devoted member of Peace Free Will Baptist Church where she was very active in missions, outreach, “Jolly Saints” and VBS. For many years she served as the Children’s Sunday school teacher. She loved to sew and was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and sister.
Mrs. Ward was preceded in death by her grandsons, Matthew McCutcheon and Brandon Ward; eight sisters and three brothers.
