Eva M. Baron, 82, of Kirkwood, formerly of Forest City, PA, died Monday, August 30, 2010 at her home. She was predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Veronica Gudaitis and her brother, John Gudaitis. She is survived by her husband of 62 years, Alexander Baron, Kirkwood; her sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Richard and Susan Baron, Vestal, John and Gayla Baron, Endwell; six grandchildren, James, Tara, Megan and Shannon Baron, Alexandra and Keith Baron; a brother, Joseph Gudaitis, Johnson City; several nieces and nephews. Eva was a member of St. Mary's Church, Kirkwood. She was known for her cooking skills and loved to sew. She truly loved her grandchildren and her family. Special thanks to Lourdes Hospice for the care and compassion shown to Eva.
A Funeral Mass will be offered at St. Mary's Church, Kirkwood, Thursday at 9:30 a.m. Entombment will be in Mother of Sorrows Cemetery, Carbondale, PA. The family will receive friends at the J.A. McCormack Sons Funeral Home, 141 Main Street, Binghamton, Wednesday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy in memory of Eva may be made to St. Mary's Church, 975 NY RT. 11, Kirkwood, NY 13795.
