Patricia Rosalita Hutchins, 71, died early morning, Thursday, July 9, 2015, at her home in Snowflake with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Holbrook to the late Prospero Baca Saiz and Manuelita “Nellie” Velasquez Saiz.

Children have always held a special place in her heart and she, literally, lived her life in the service of her “little” friends. She was the longtime owner and operator of Carousel Day Care & Pre-School in Snowflake. She also had the privilege of working alongside her daughter, Shelly, before she died in January of 2012.

Patricia was a faithful and devout member of Our Lady of The Snow Catholic Church in Snowflake. She loved her Savior and enjoyed worshiping Him within the sacred walls of her little church.

Patricia is survived by her husband, Eddie Clyde Hutchins of Snowflake; three children: Michael (Shannon) Hutchins of Taylor, Mark (Janine) Hutchins of Seattle, Wash., Gina (Trever) Willis of Taylor; brother Pete Saiz; two sisters: Phyllis (Larry) Chavez, Yvonne (Tino) Lopez and her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter Michelle.

The public visitation will be from held from 5-6:45 p.m., Tuesday, July 14, at Owens Livingston Mortuary - Heritage Chapel, 84 E. 19th South in Snowflake followed by the Recitation of The Holy Rosary at 7 p.m. at Our Lady of The Snow Catholic Church, 1655 S. Main Street in Snowflake. The funeral mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 15, at Our Lady of the Snow Catholic Church. The committal service and interment will immediately follow at the R.V. “Mike” Ramsay Memorial Cemetery in Snowflake.

Patricia’s family is thankful for all of the expressions of sympathy they have received during this difficult season and are especially grateful for all of the prayers that have been offered up on their behalf.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 26 Broadway, 14th Floor, New York, New York 10004 in Patricia’s name.
