Billy Harold Erwin, age 85 of Lumberton, Texas died Wednesday July 25, 2015 at home in Lumberton.

He was born December 19, 1929 to Albert D. Erwin and Zula May Jordan Erwin in Burkeville, Texas.

Billy was employed by Texas U.S. Chemical (Ameripol Synpol) for 33 years as Receiving Warehouse Supervisor. He served proudly with the U.S. Air Force SAC (Strategic Air Command) during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife of almost 52 years, Nancy Crow Erwin, son, Bryan Harold Erwin, daughter, Elizabeth Erwin Tucker, son-in-law Greg Tucker, granddaughters Audrey Tucker and Rachel Tucker and his sister, Mary Straub of Groves, Texas.

Billy was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Silsbee, Texas and a member of the Men’s Sunday School Class, the William Hoy Curtis American Legion Post 72 in Lumberton and leader of Webelos Cub Scouts in Lumberton.

A gathering of family and friends will be at Farmer Funeral Home in Silsbee on Friday, July 17 from 5~8pm.

His funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2015 at 11:30am in the Farmer Funeral Home Chapel.

Interment will be at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.

Honorary Pall Bearers will be members of the Men’s Sunday School Class at First United Methodist Church of Silsbee.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in memory of Billy H. Erwin.
