Born in Lansdale, Pennsylvania May 25, 1930 to Dennis Denton and Bertha David Westbrook, Georgia graduated from Harcum College with a degree in fashion merchandising. She married J. Bruce Imswiler in 1953. While working at UNR's Getchell Library for many years, Georgia earned a B.A. in Art and an M.A. in counseling and guidance from the University of Nevada, Reno. Upon her retirement in 1994, Georgia pursued her interests in multi-media art, ballroom dance, the Lifescapes program, and aquacize. She also volunteered with her lab, Mollie, with Paws for Love, where they listened to children read and visited Alzheimer's facilities. She also participated in the Women's Health Initiative Study. Predeceased by Bruce, Georgia is survived by her three daughters, Susan (Travis) Agee, Jenifer Imswiler (Tim McGill), and Laurie (Jaime) Cuara, three grandchildren, Cameron and Caitlin Filer, and Sean McGill, brother Terry, and sister Denise (Matt) Bach. A celebration of life is set for July 25, 2015 at 3:00 PM at 360 E. Sky Ranch Blvd., Sparks, Nevada. In lieu of flowers, donations would be welcomed at either the Nevada Humane Society or the Alzheimer's Association .
