Dr. Ewing was born in Arcola, Ill., and graduated from Rush Medical School in Chicago.
He began his practice in Kenmare, and while associated here with a brother, the late Dr. John Ewing, they erected the hospital building now occupied as the Baptist Home.
In 1924 Dr. Ewing studied in Vienna, Austria, and then moved to Oakland, Calif., where he practiced until his retirement in 1945. He continued to reside in Oakland until four years ago when he moved to Saratoga, to be with his daughter, Mrs. Louise Bolde. He is also survived by two grandchildren, and a brother, Frank Ewing, at Lake Worth, Florida.
From the scrapbook of Lillian Lundgen Zeltinger who passed away in 1997.
