On July 9, 2015, at age eighty-eight, Belva passed away of natural causes.
Belva attended Midvale schools and graduated from Jordan High School, Class of 1944. Received a B.A. degree from Woodbury College in Los Angeles, California.
While going to college, she met Melvin Freeman. They married on July 5, 1947 in Salt Lake City.
She enjoyed raising her children as well as working as a bookkeeper at Cook Lumber, Butterfield Lumber and the family companies until the age of eighty.
She was very active and had many hobbies, such as bowling, golfing, and playing cards with those she loved. She was a proud member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Belva was a very giving, caring, and gracious lady with a lot of integrity and a great sense of humor. She was a loving mother and grandmother, always being there for her kids and grandkids.
Belva's family and friends hold her in the highest regard and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her husband, Melvin Freeman; sons, Eric, Karl (Kay), and Keith (Lori); and grandchildren, Cody (Amanda), Callin (Colby), Nicole, and Jarrod. Preceded in death by son, Douglas; daughter, Julie; parents, and brother, Don.

Graveside services will be held in the Midvale City Cemetery, 471 West 7500 South, Midvale, on Tuesday, July 14, 2015 at 11:00 a.m.
