Jesse Newman married Priscilla Coulson, daughter of Jacob Coulson in 1803 in Grayson Co., VA. He was given the Coal Creek farm and sold it in 1815 (Grayson, D.B. 3-299). Thereafter he probably lived among the Coulsons on Crooked Creek until the 1820's when he moved away, although there is some reason to think he went to Tennessee with his father and then returned for a time (the 1815 deed indicates that he lived then in Grainger Co, but he appears in the 1820 Grayson Census). This is found on page 252-253.
