Helen Mary Admire
Helen Mary Newhouse Admire, 92, died Monday at Greenwood Village Health Care Center, where she had been a resident for 3½ years. She had lived in the Greenwood and Whiteland area.
She was born Jan. 25, 1899, in Bartholomew County. Her parents were Henry Newhouse and Rose (Kemper) Newhouse. She married Leroy Admire July 19, 1936. He died Feb. 10, 1980. Survivors include a daughter, Rosemary Y. Teeter of Carmel; a son, Larry Richard Admire of Tucson, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Joanna Bright of Bargersville and Betty Zollner of Pittsboro; and 18 grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters.
She attended Center Grove schools.
She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the Honey Creek United Methodist Church, the Quilting Club and WSCE of the church.
The Rev. Robert Weaver and the Rev. Wilma Allen will conduct a service at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Vandivier-Tudor Funeral Home in Franklin. Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in White River Township.
