MOORESVILLE
Thomas Monroe Crabb, 83, of Mooresville, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2012 at The Sherrills Ford Hospice House. Born Nov. 16, 1928 in Mooresville, he was the son of the late JC and Ola Dancy Crabb. Monroe was preceded in death by a son, Bobby Isenhour, and a brother, Howard Crabb.
Monroe retired from Duke Power and served in the Merchant Marines for 16 years and the U.S. Army.
He was a member of Southside Baptist Church and the Senior Citizen's Club in Mooresville.
He is survived by his siblings, Helen Crabb Pope, Mack J. Crabb and his wife, Sue, and Bobby Crabb; grandson, Ian Isenhour; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special friend, Nell Edwards.
Funeral services will be held at Southside Baptist Church at 2 p.m. Monday, Feb. 27. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. The burial will follow at Willow Valley Cemetery in Mooresville.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church or Hospice of Catawba Valley. Cavin-Cook Funeral Home, Mooresville, is serving the Crabb family.
