She graduated in 1936 from West Texas State University and was a member of the American Association of University Women. She had been a resident of Victoria, Texas, for the past two years. Prior to moving to Texas, the Goodwins had resided in Napa for 40 years. Mrs. Goodwin taught school in Napa until her retirement.
She is survived by her husband, Earl of Victoria, Texas; her daughter, Vanda Stowe of Victoria, Texas; three sisters, Elda Wilson and Lucille Kilbreth, both of Pampa, Texas, and Flora Mae Kelly of Mobeetie, Texas; four brothers, Ernest Gordon of Mobeetie, Texas, George Gordon of Monmouth, Ore., Lee Gordon of Garland, Texas, and Horace Gordon of Toledo, Ohio; two grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. Her son, Hubert Goodwin, passed away in 1967.
Funeral services were held today in Victoria, Texas. Visitation will be at Claffey and Rota Funeral Home, 1975 Main St., Napa, on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Private entombment will be at Tulocay Cemetery, Napa.
